For these portraits, Morris lets the children set the scene for their own portraits.  Using the highest quality art materials, the children are encouraged to paint as they please.  Once they’ve finished, Morris envisions how each child will appear within his or her painting.  He then takes photos of the children from which he hand-paints their portraits directly onto their paintings.
