The Storytelling Tree, written and Illustrated by Charles Morris, tells the story of a girl and her father who live in a bookstore. Every evening, her father goes to the attic of the bookstore to write her a new story. One night she waits and waits and waits. Finally, she goes to look for him. Her search leads her to a light-filled crawlspace. Following this light through the crawlspace, she enters the Storytelling Tree.

All 37 illustrations were on display at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa October 19, 2019 through February 2, 2020.
